Garden of Remembrance 

memorial garden 310When a person dies, the family or next of kin may need to decide what to do with the cremated ashes of their loved one.


One option is to have them interred within the Garden of Remembrance at St Edmund's. This will include an agreed spot where the ashes can be placed and the name of the deceased will appear on the plaque mounted on the side of the church overlooking the garden. You maybe able to see it in the picture above. If this is something that interests you, could you please contact the St Edmund's Parish Administrator, Yvonne Millington, to talk through the options and fees. Yvonne is available in the Parish Centre Office on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9 am and 2 pm on 01322 311201.
 

Book of Condolence

A Book of Condolence is available in the Quiet Chapel next to the Garden of Remembrance. The names of the deceased appear in the book on the date of their passing and it is on public display whenever the church and centre are open. If you would like your loved one's name to appear in this book please contact the St Edmund's Parish Administrator to talk through options and fees. The Administrator is available in the Parish Centre Office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9 am and 2 pm on 01322 311201
